I think I'll lead off with this:
THE FIGURES OF CHRYSALIS AND THE CHANGELINGS LOOK FREAKING AMAZING.
I am not even joking when I say this is our best work, hands down. Zero print lines, vibrant gradiated colors, glossy accents. The only reason I don't have pics now is because of an...interesting unforseen problem: the wings.
We set out trying to make the best figures of these characters that the fandom has ever seen, which meant we had to go all out. Our goal was threefold: the wings had to be transparent (so no 3D-printing here), they had to be the proper shade of blue (to top a couple other figures I've seen that had straight-up clear wings), and they had to curve (no flat, cut-out-looking things allowed). We found a material that would easily allow us to do all three, but ran into trouble when we discovered that it cannot be glued to anything. We're confident that we can pull it off, it will just take more time.
And unlike past events, I want ALL the prizes for this one to be done before the event's end. I want you guys to SEE these figures before the end of the raffle, to know what you're getting.
So in the interest of giving ourselves more time to work on solving the wing problem, I am extending the deadline of the raffle to NEXT Saturday, March 15. I'd also like to add that the changelings are not the only things that we've been working on. Production on other things has not ceased--I've been balancing the changelings with painting commissions, modeling commissions, and making new rigs for future commissions, not to mention the work on the keychains from our first raffle. We probably could have finished the changelings by now if we'd solely focused on just them, but that's not going to be the case.

Commission sale!
Hi everyone! I'm in a bit of a tight spot this month, and I'm looking to do some quickie commissions to fix that! Here are some examples!
Just $15 per character!
Throw me a note with the details / references, and I'll send you a paypal invoice. Please consider helping me out--it'd mean the world! If you can't afford it / aren't interested, then another way to help would be linking others to this journal post. Thank you!
It's been 3000 years...
Expect a flood of deviations this weekend as I post all the pony figures that have gotten finished in my absence. We're finally reaching the end of Ye Olde Commission list, after which point we'll be retiring from 3D-printed commissions. I know a lot of people are bound to be disappointed by that, but honestly, it's been coming for a long time. Look at how badly our rate slowed down after we both started working full-time (not that we were fast before...) I've gotten a lot of messages about commissions the past few months and have tried to turn them down politely, but I think it's time to put it to rest. And ultimately, I think it's for
Wow, okay, I need to post a status update!
I've been sending notes back and forth with a few of you, but that's no substitute for doing a full update on everything in the works.
This week:
Cellos, cellos, and more cellos. Three of them to be exact. Looking to have them all done in one fell swoop.
Shipping Mach and Discord. They were supposed to be shipped after New Years, but holiday travels left me rather ill and I fell behind schedule. Also I've never shipped a statue discord and I want to get it right.
Next week:
Painting Spitfire and Bonbon
Printing Apple Fritter
Week after that:
Modeling Alushy
Painting Littlepip
Printing APIP
As always, if you have any questions o
Moved in!
Rabid and I live together again! Finally our 3D printing work can resume! Man, I can't begin to talk about how frustrating that three-month separation was, but we're finally settled in, have all our tools and machines unpacked and set up, and are ready to get back into the swing of things.
The only casualties of the move were Mach's jacket, which suffered an acetone spill in transit. :B So that'll be the first thing printed at the new place. Also I'll be finally sending out the completed figures whose shipping was delayed by the move. Gonna have a lot of pics to post soon!
