Locking Up The Sun Animated Opening [ANIMATIC]

What you hopefully just watched is what I've been working on for the past month or so--the animatic for the first opening of Locking up the Sun (yes, there will be more.) For those who don't know, an animatic is sort of like a moving storyboard--it shows the general flow of motion and camera movements and acts as a guide for when the real animation work begins.

Locking up the Sun is going to be a 14-part fanfction written by ~TickedOffSpoonBender and based on a roleplay that he ran for the past two months. I participated in it as one of the characters, reluctantly at first, but then found myself sucked into a story far more brilliant than I could have ever expected.

It is said that scattered across this land are seven great legendary beasts, each of them highly powerful and magical. And when one descends upon Manehattan, closely pursued by a relentless force of destruction, three ponies will find their destinies intertwined with events far greater than themselves. Follow these three unlikely heroes—brazen Warchest, steadfast Lionheart, and arrogant Speck Valorhoof—as they begin a harrowing journey across Equestria and attempt to unlock the clues that might be their only chance to defeat an impossibly twisted foe.
